Horsemanship

Posh Pony horsemanship sessions are all about building confidence around horses and improving your horse handling skills. Our experiences are held in a ring where you will be supported to learn about horses in a safe, confined environment. We go through everything from approaching the horse, grooming to gaining a connection and building trust.

Alvin the pony is available for riding, with weight limit of maximum 50 kgs. Zappa is a therapy horse, and he is beautiful for learning horsemanship. They are both gorgeous, gentle souls.

Horse and pony experiences can be 45 minutes for 1:1 or 1 hour for group sessions and are held in Kurnell. All ages and abilities are welcome!

Meaningful Pony Experiences

Many young children have a fascination for ponies and love to be around them. At Posh Pony, we want to nurture that love and fascination in a way that teaches children the basic elements of handling horses in a safe and meaningful way.

We teach the foundations of horsemanship in an age appropriate way so the children can get good understanding of these beautiful creatures right from the beginning. We have a range of activities that children can participate in on the ground beside the pony or on horseback (weight limit of 50kgs).

We will introduce you to our beautiful pony Alvin who you can’t help but fall in love with. He has been working with children for many years and he loves them just as much as they love him.

Pony Parties

Our fabulous Pony Parties are so much fun. How can they not be if the guest of honour (besides the special guest) is a pony!

Alvin loves a good dress up and he is happy to be colour themed or dressed as a super hero, unicorn or fairy. Our special celebrations are held at Posh Pony HQ at Kurnell for one to four people.

Our celebration sessions are vibrant, child centred, developmentally appropriate and flexible in their delivery. They can be for a birthday, school holiday special treat or just because your little one (and their friends) need some pony time! We ensure that the interests, learning styles and abilities of individual children are catered for.

The special guests will receive lots of love and attention from Alvin and can have pony rides and pony activities including brushing, decorating, pats and all the cuddles they want.

Pony Parties for one guest are $135 and last for 45 minutes. For two to four guests they are $88 per person and last for 1 hour.

Posh Pony is fully insured. We’re reliable, well respected and professional – and we know how to throw a great celebration!

After the Pony Party or Celebration Session, guests can head to the beautiful National Park, the beach or a local cafe – all right on our doorstep.
